Of course in this list can't miss the <strong>8 monuments declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO.<\/strong> Many of these are embellished with mosaics that have no equal in the world and tell the story of a city that was a capital in ancient times, and a bridge between Eastern and Western world.<\/p>\n<p>If you were my guest for a weekend in Ravenna looking for art and history, this is the take a few minutes walk to the station to catch bus n. 4 which will take you to the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe, the first stop on our itinerary.<br \/>This majestic basilica is certainly In this case you have time for a little unplanned walkabout: a few kilometers from the basilica has been recently opened the archaeological park of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ravennacityguide.it\/en\/ancient-port-of-classe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ancient Port of Classe<\/a><\/strong>. The mausoleum, clear and solid in its forms, is framed by the green of a large park. It 's time to go to the old town for refreshment!<br \/> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Street food<\/span>: for a quick and cheap lunch in Ravenna there is always <em>piadina<\/em>.<br \/> There are many good ones in Ravenna, today I suggest the one made by <strong>Cupido<\/strong>, in a court of the central Via Cavour. If you want to take home some homemade piadina, they also sell it vacuum-packed.<br \/> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The slow lunch break:<\/span> the restaurant <strong>Rustichello<\/strong> and its <em>Mitici<\/em> (cappelletti with asparagus) are a fixture.
