Antica Bottega di Felice – BUT EVERY TIME SHE LAUGHS, I’M THE ONE WHO FALLS IN LOVE

Antica Bottega di Felice – BUT EVERY TIME SHE LAUGHS, I’M THE ONE WHO FALLS IN LOVE

Forthright and long-haul men would define "of other times" the vivid and soft atmosphere of this restaurant, certainly without being mistaken.
Founded a few years ago from the ashes of the historical counter of cold cuts and cheese with the same name which, since the early 60's, stood in the Mercato Coperto (the historical central town market, now closed, whose wild scent of past able to open imaginative horizons in our childish nostrils I will never – alas!-be able to fully describe), Antica Bottega di Felice keeps proudly its air of past and tradition.

The interiors are warm, cozy and welcoming, everything is on the shades of ocher, brick red and pale yellow. The very dark wooden is the ideal counterpart to the large black and white pictures that stand out from the walls. The seats outside overlook a fresh and characteristic bohemian street,Via Ponte Marino, right in front of a cheap vintage shop, sparkling with necklaces, bracelets, various trinkets, as well as improbable size shirts and clothes of even more unlikely pattern from which to draw inspiration during the meal.

The cuisine shouts at the world all the deliciousness of local tradition: everywhere is a triumph of cold cuts and scquaquerone cheese, ciccioli and mortadella, cappelletti and strozzapreti, piadina and grilled meat. The beef filet deserves a special mention: relentless, primitive, slow and luxurious as a blues of Muddy Waters, every bite, every piece that will melt in your mouth will make you feel projected on rails of ecstatic oblivion, making you forget all the accumulated concerns. Must try.

The whine selection is excellent, the variety of coffee is rich and good, the staff is friendly, colorful and smiling. The owner is talkative, prepared, expert of vintage cars and skilled nocturnal conversationalist from whose charms, once properly sated and satisfied,  you will reluctantly  divide anticipating already the inevitable return.

How to get there
